Objectives
The need for production efficiency and quality in industry necessitates using the very best approaches to model and simulate forming processes. IJFP aims to provide a forum for those wishing to optimize these forming processes, thereby avoiding expensive and time-consuming purely experimental approaches.
IJFP covers all forming processes, all materials are considered.
Contributions
They should be based on physical, computational or experimental approaches. A combination of these is particularly welcome.
Contributions may cover:
- characterisation of engineering parameters: shape of the parts, forces on tools, energy consumption, wear;
- design of forming processes, optimal design of tools, and forming conditions;
- prediction of final macroscopic structure and material properties due to a specific material forming operation;
- new process developments...
Manuscripts are restricted to a maximum of 25 pages, including figures, tables and appendices.
